Your special day has come, and you are not sure which foods to order from your catering service providers. Aside from that, you may not be sure of which provider to hire. You can handle both issues by taking your time and considering a few key points first:

How to Hire a Reliable Caterer

You have to consider several factors before you hire a catering company to tend to your wedding, graduation party, corporate event, religious ceremony or other event. The first thing you have to review is your budget. Knowing your budget for the event will prevent you from trying to hire a company that may not be in your range. You also want to conduct research on your prospects by checking the consumers’ reviews. You want to choose a company that has more than four stars when it comes to positive ratings.

How to Choose the Food Type

The way to choose the type of food is by considering the weather, the meeting environment, the majority preference and length of the event. Some foods spoil faster than others do, and you will need to remember that when you make your choices.

Top Foods to Serve for Your Event

You have a wide variety of options when it comes to serving the masses foods and beverages. One option that you may like is one that offers buffalo chicken wings, celery sticks and dip. Buffalo chicken wings are the perfect treat for casual events like New Year’s Eve parties or Super Bowl gatherings.

You can also choose from a wide variety of delicatessen. Deli foods are the perfect catered foods for gatherings such as employee training seminars. You can truly cater to everyone’s likes and dislikes by picking a variety of subs. For example, you can choose turkey and cheese, tuna or Italian for your guests and allow them to pick the products that they like to eat.

Sushi is a good option for a super-classy event such as a wedding. You could also choose something like Caviar and then a filet mignon platter for the main course. If your gathering is full of good-ole fun-loving men, women and childdren, you could even select mini-burger catering. Order some tiny burgers and tater tots. Finally, you can select Kosher foods and bagels for guests if a majority of them prefers to eat Kosher foods.

Start thinking about what you want to serve to your guests now and speak to a catering services specialist who can help you. Be sure to review any catering company that you may have in mind. For the best results, choose a company that has at least three stars from consumers who have worked with the providers. You can find more information online. The Greensville Gourmet website may be a good place to begin your research.

Business owners and manager oftentimes grapple with what they can give to a key client or customer during the holiday season. The reality is that when it comes to clients or customers, a one size fits all approach to holiday gift giving does now always represent the best approach. What is ideally suited to one client may not be appropriate for another.

Because of the challenges associated with holiday gift giving, a growing number of business owners and managers are turning to gift baskets when it comes to clients and customers. There are a number of key strategies to keep in mind when it comes to gift baskets for clients and customers during the holiday season.

Customized Gift Baskets

One of the key strategies to employ when using holiday gift baskets for clients or customers is customization. Yes, gift baskets can be customized to pair up with the mission of your business. However, a gift basket can also be uniquely customized to meet the interests and tastes of a specific client or customer.

Particularly if a person has been a client or customer of a business for a bit of time, an owner or manager likely has developed some understanding of what that individual likes and dislikes. Crafting an individualized gift basket need not be a challenging task.

Drop Shipping

Another strategy to employ when selecting a holiday gift basket for a client is taking advantage of drop shipping, or direct shipping, from a gift basket merchant. If you are like many business owners or managers at this juncture of the 21st century, you may have clients all over Canada, perhaps the world.

With gift baskets, you can place individualized orders for each client with an appropriate vendor. The vendor, in turn, can then ship your gift basket selection directly to the intended client or customer. Indeed, if you order multiple baskets from the same vendor, shipping costs very well be avoided all together.

Proactive Approach to Holiday Gift Giving

Oftentimes, when it comes to holiday gift giving for clients or customers, it becomes a rushed affair in December. With a gift basket for a client or customer, this need not be the case.

Retailers that trade in customizing a holiday gift basket can get you ready for the season well in advance of the end of the year. Addressing holiday gift giving for clients and customers can go from being a headache at the year’s end to a more enjoyable, thoughtful process when things are at least somewhat less chaotic. As an aside, a business owner of manager can keep aware of cost-saving options throughout the course of the year. For more information, the resources at Boodles of Baskets may be helpful to you.

Party rentals provide you with the incredible opportunity to get all of the gear, supplies and equipment you need for special events delivered to your venue location and to enjoy using them in an affordable way. You do not have to purchase everything you need to host a wedding party, a birthday gala or something else because party rentals are an option for almost all of the equipment you may need. However, before you sign on the dotted line and commit yourself to specific party rental equipment and gear, ask yourself these important questions.

Does the Equipment Meet Your Needs Fully?
There are many companies that offer party rentals, and this means that you should never feel as though you have to settle for equipment that is not quite right for your needs. For example, if the tent for your event is not quite large enough or does not have the all-weather flaps on the sides that you are looking for, consider shopping around more until you find the right gear. Your party rentals will play a critical role in the overall success of your party and even how comfortable your guests are, so make a wise decision before signing on the dotted line.

What Are the Delivery and Set Up Options?
Another important point to review is the delivery and setup services. Many rental companies that specialize in providing equipment for special events offer delivery and setup services, but this is not always the case. Read the find print to ensure that these services are provided. More than that, review the services closely to determine if there is an additional fee for these services and any other special details that you need to know. You may be able to negotiate fees and setup services with the company.

What Are the Rental Dates and Times?
A final factor to pay attention to is the rental date and time. In many cases, you may only have access to the party equipment and supplies for a specific number of hours. Ensure that this is enough time to make full use of the equipment at your event as well as to setup and tear down the equipment. Bear in mind that it may take a full day or longer to set up and tear down large items, such as a huge tent canopy for a wedding or other outdoor celebration.

Party rentals are in high demand, and this is especially true during peak social times of the year. With this in mind, you should actively work to secure your items with a reservation and contract. However, avoid making hasty decisions without first reviewing these important questions in detail. The Hart Entertainment website is a useful resource if you would like more information.

Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking, no matter how big the guest list is. Couples want their big day to be just right. From picking up wedding event rentals to making sure the flowers are perfect, there are countless things to worry about. Choosing your rental items should make your day easy and fun. Most wedding rental companies will deliver your items and set them up to make your day as stress free as possible. The only trouble you may have is deciding between all of the amazing rentals available now!

Tables/Chairs
A basic, but always important necessity. Some venues do not provide tables and chairs so you will need to rent them. The fun part comes when you decorate them. Tablescapes can be designed with multiple colors and textures. Some couples prefer a more traditional look but others have found fun using trendy or popculture themes. If a rental company does not have the Star Wars colors or centerpiece you want, they may be able to get it for you. It never hurts to ask!

Dessert Presentation
One trend that seems to be sticking around is the dessert table. From elaborate candy jars filled with goodies to chocolate fountains pouring delicious fondue, dessert is always a hit. Cotton candy machines, platters of custom made pastries, and towers of cupcakes will all be presented in glorious fashion using wedding event rentals.

Lighting
The right lighting can do wonders for a room. Up lighting in the corners of a reception hall can transform any space. Perfectly placed spotlights, chandeliers, or candles can create a romantic feel. A dance floor with a disco ball or flashing lights gives a fun party vibe. These are all items that can be chosen, delivered, set up and taken down to make your wedding event as easy as possible.

Reception Extras
One of the most fun wedding trends lately is having photo booth. Guest can pose in funny gear to help commemorate the event. This is a service that can be provided by a rental company. If you are looking for a more dramatic, hip wedding, rentals are available that can transform empty halls into cocktail lounges and blank walls into gorgeous graffiti. Whatever your taste, a wedding rental company can provide the look and feel you dream about for your wedding day.

Your wedding can be a little less stressful if you let a trustworthy rental company handle some of your wedding details for you. It is a great way to have all the trendy items you want for your wedding with less stress!

Diamond Ring

When you’re getting ready to walk down the aisle and say “I do,” the engagement ring is often one of the most expensive parts of the process. Purchasing real diamonds and authentic metals that are used on the band at jewelry stores Toronto will easily costs thousands of dollars. To save money when buying diamond wedding bands without compromising on the design of the jewelry item, there are a few important steps to take for an item that can be worn for a lifetime.

Shop for Whole Sale Diamonds

Save more on the ring by shopping for whole sale diamonds, which means the middle man makes less of a profit. Although some men may be leery of whole sale diamonds, you can ensure that diamonds are real by obtaining a grading report. You also want to purchase the ring from someone who offers a full refund at least 30 days from when you purchased the item.

Reputable wholesalers are often located in larger cities, which may require getting a personal reference. Many wholesalers are about moving loose diamonds, but some still offer mounting and design services. They may also be able to reference you to a jeweler when you need to set the diamond.

Purchase a Ring with Flaws

The value of engagement rings and diamonds is influenced by the number of flaws that it has, but it can be difficult to actually see the flaws with the naked eye or even with a magnifying glass. Save yourself extra money by purchasing a ring that has a few irregularities to avoid paying more than necessary.

Avoid Brand Names

It may be impressive to propose with a designer brand box in hand, but this can double the cost of the engagement ring that you purchase. Although having your ring custom designed may seem like it would cost more, it can save you a significant amount of money instead of purchasing a ring that is already created. In fact, economists has shown that spending too much on a ring actually increases the chance of a divorce! Visit a jeweler and communicate what you want to have specifically designed by providing various photos while asking for a quote ahead of time. You also want to view their previous work to ensure that they’ll deliver the results that you envision.

Get a Ring with Low Clarity

Diamond rings that have a lower clarity are known to have smaller price tags without having to compromise on the size of the diamond that you purchase. Few people will notice that the diamond has a lower clarity, which will allow you to spend more on other features of the item.

Purchase the Ring Online

You can purchase a discounted ring online with comparison sites that are available to find the lowest rate through major jewelers or retailers. Compare return policies and consider paying with cash to avoid extra processing fees.

Using drones to film your wedding and take additional photography can free up time, space and save a bit of money while you’re at it. These flying photographers can nudge into places that would be awkward for people and most guests will never even notice them. Not only does this invite more sincere reactions, shots and films but it allows for angles that humans simply can’t get to.

Beautiful Aerial Shots

For instance, it would be incredibly difficult to get overhead shots of the wedding party without either the use of a ladder or a helicopter. Perhaps even some combination of the two. With drones, you can work from various heights that are previously just a dream. This includes shots of shorter subjects as well, such as children like the ring bearer and flower girl, or pets that may be substituting in their place.

Most models are quiet enough that they can fly right up to the wedding couple to catch their vows without engine noise creating difficulty on playback. Always be certain to test this before the big day comes and to use a noise cancelling microphone. If there is any extra noise, the microphone’s insulation will help catch it rather than letting it rattle through the recording.

Smooth Video Capturing

Stabilizers can give drones a whole new ability. If the big day ends up being windy, these stabilizers will keep it flying high and keep the video recording steadily. Stabilizers come in many shapes and sizes, most of which being simple weights that attach to either side of the drone. These weights serve to give the drone more balance and more heft so that wind does not swing them from side to side. They are sometimes attached between the landing rails of a drone. It simply depends on the stabilizers you choose.

Film can be quickly downloaded from models with built-in cameras via USB ports, simply connecting them directly to your computer or pulling out the video SD card that is implanted in them. This way you can simply send your guests home with fond memories on a cd instead of making them wait for a disc in the mail.

If the day dawns wet and rainy, drones don’t mind. They can be outfitted with rain gear to protect expensive photographer or filmography equipment. Most models will not be bothered by a shower that will not stop a wedding from being outdoors. These little machines are made tough.

Choosing a drone for your wedding can be a bit arduous. There are several different sorts and all of them do their job very well. Do your research and choose a drone that fits your needs, then be impressed by how well it does.

We did more than one happy dance when we found out we’d be working with Designlovefest on their Blogshop Vancouver event! No, seriously.

Blogshop is the brainchild of two inspiring women: Bri Emery of Designlovefest and Angela Kohler of Angela and Ithyle, and it is said that Photoshop magic happens at this weekend bootcamp.

Although we didn’t attend the workshop itself, we were delighted to see so much Blogshop activity buzzing around on Instagram (#blogshopvancouver) from the instructors, interns, and students alike!

It was a monumental task getting all the design elements ready for Blogshop in the span of 10 short days but we’re so thankful to our friends for their paper-punching, circle-cutting, dot-arranging expertise. If not for them, we wouldn’t have created:

  • Round paper confetti
  • Blogshop “B” signage
  • A paper garland chandelier
  • A massive, show-stopping scalloped photo booth backdrop

Notice a theme here? (wink). And if not for the abundance of spring, we wouldn’t have been able to source some of our most favourite flowers to produce the cheerful and colourful arrangements that adorned the student and instructor work tables, the lounge area and sweets tables, and, yes, even the bathroom vanity.

The amazing opportunity to work behind-the-scenes with the Blogshop team introduced us to a new level of collaboration in that we were only able to correspond virtually—right up until the day of the event; however, the process did introduce us to the lovely Andrea and Rob of Lotus Events who invited a talented team of vendors for the Blogshop sweets table (and the large milk glass vases we got to use for our floral arrangements): cheers and love to The Bake Sale, Kawaii Eats, Coco Cake Cupcakes, and Trove Vintage Rentals for your invaluable contributions!
