Rustic Wedding Inspiration | Edmonton Wedding Planner

We did more than one happy dance when we found out we’d be working with Designlovefest on their Blogshop Vancouver event! No, seriously.

Blogshop is the brainchild of two inspiring women: Bri Emery of Designlovefest and Angela Kohler of Angela and Ithyle, and it is said that Photoshop magic happens at this weekend bootcamp.

Although we didn’t attend the workshop itself, we were delighted to see so much Blogshop activity buzzing around on Instagram (#blogshopvancouver) from the instructors, interns, and students alike!

It was a monumental task getting all the design elements ready for Blogshop in the span of 10 short days but we’re so thankful to our friends for their paper-punching, circle-cutting, dot-arranging expertise. If not for them, we wouldn’t have created:

  • Round paper confetti
  • Blogshop “B” signage
  • A paper garland chandelier
  • A massive, show-stopping scalloped photo booth backdrop

Notice a theme here? (wink). And if not for the abundance of spring, we wouldn’t have been able to source some of our most favourite flowers to produce the cheerful and colourful arrangements that adorned the student and instructor work tables, the lounge area and sweets tables, and, yes, even the bathroom vanity.

The amazing opportunity to work behind-the-scenes with the Blogshop team introduced us to a new level of collaboration in that we were only able to correspond virtually—right up until the day of the event; however, the process did introduce us to the lovely Andrea and Rob of Lotus Events who invited a talented team of vendors for the Blogshop sweets table (and the large milk glass vases we got to use for our floral arrangements): cheers and love to The Bake Sale, Kawaii Eats, Coco Cake Cupcakes, and Trove Vintage Rentals for your invaluable contributions!
