The opportunity to work with the Designlovefest team on their Blogshop Vancouver event has been a highlight of All & Sundry’s involvement with creative events in Vancouver.
Blogshop is the brainchild of creatives and change-making women, Bri Emery of Designlovefest and Angela Kohler of Angela and Ithyle, and it is said that Photoshop magic happens at this weekend bootcamp. When All & Sundry was given the go-ahead to contribute to this popular, traveling workshop, we couldn’t have been more pleased (and we may have done one or two happy dances).
All & Sundry collaborated with Blogshop to create a unifying theme with elements that would aim to delight and inspire. On a theme of circles, we lovingly handcrafted round paper confetti, assembled a Blogshop “B” sign, constructed a paper garland chandelier, designed whimsical and colourful floral arrangements, and created a show-stopping scalloped photo booth backdrop. In good Designlovefest / Blogshop spirit, we were playful with their brand colours and installed each DIY art piece at the Warehouse Studio in Gastown with the intention of being impactful: one of our favourites is the simple colour gradation / ombre effect of the table confetti—from pale yellow, orange, red, and pink to a peach blush.
The florals we designed were certainly a highlight of our contributions. Many of our favourite spring flowers and greenery—anemones, ranunculus, peonies, hypericum berry, and even poppies—as well as some others like pincushion protea and bright yellow mums adorned the tables to bring some cheer to what was already an inspiring and beautiful weekend at Blogshop Vancouver!
